Living in Yaletown

Yaletown was originally a warehouse district and remained so as late as the 1980’s. It was established during 1886 when the Canadian Pacific Railway company transplanted its maintenance yard from the nearby town of Yale to Vancouver.
 
The area has become quite a trendy area of Vancouver to live in, and the warehouses now function as fashionable restaurants, boutiques, cafes, and residential apartments for the young Vancouverites who call this area Yaletown their home. Demand for condos in the area has skyrocketed; this is one of the highest density areas of the city next to the West End. There is a lot of residential construction in Yaletown; the old warehouses are constantly being converted into high rise apartment towers by developers.
 
Although it’s not a very large area, Yaletown is a great area to walk around on a nice day. It is close to the water, and has all the trendiest up-scale clothing stores and restaurants and is connected to the downtown core. The New Vancouver Stadium is located in Yaletown There are amazing shops and restaurants to fill all your desires and some of the trendiest bars in the city. Yaletown is such a vibrant business and social community, there is just so much to see, feel and touch.
